1. Tap a debit card, credit card, phone or compatible payment device on the cashless payment terminal. A temporary pre- authorisation of only $10 will be placed on the account to verify the payment method and unlock the fridge door. 2. Once the door unlocks, open the Smart Fridge and choose the products you want. You can remove an item to check its ingredients or nutritional information and place it back if you decide not to buy it. 3. Close the door when you are finished. The system confirms which products were kept and charges the final amount to the payment method used at the start. You can then simply walk away. The Smart Fridge uses cameras and weight sensors to identify the products removed. We like to explain it like an online shopping cart: When you take an item from the fridge, it is added to your cart. If you place the item back, it is removed from your cart. Once you close the door, you are only charged for the items you have kept.
